    Yikes JT…

i don’t think my posts can stand up to that kind of scrutiny…

and please, don’t prove me right… even if i say something rude enough to ask for it.

    i’ve had a tough week.

mellaw would you like some cheese with that wine? you say you dont comment because things get too nasty regarding politics or sexual orientation. Since you brought this up i will refer back to your reader rec. thread on drs. for possible breast cancer, your last post there was so nasty i couldnt even comment and jans did a great job with her TMI comment. I for one do not want to read about what you or anyone are doing in your bedroom and whether or not you need to take a cold shower that is personal and private information. I was offended by that post but I didn’t say a word. You claim to be attacked by the same people EVERY time, I can tell you I dont comment on everything you write. But I have allways believed if someone is having a problem everytime or everywhere they may need to take a look in the mirror, because chances are its not everyone else. And sorry ronm for totally taking this off topic.

Also mellaw on the front page stolen bicycle thread people i have never seen posts from are calling you out to have a little empathy. Some of your posts seem pretty bitter. I dont think anyone here is out to get anyone, and I certainly am not. But some of your posts are offensive to some and you should be able to take the replys when you post in such a manner. I see other posters get into debates and handle it like adults. And we should be able to do this also provided we follow the rules. Which if I am not TR please let me know.

Oh JoB, your day will come. You know I have too much time on my hands. Fortunately, in this thread, I thought your comments were spot on. Next time :-)

JT – Here’s my response to your scrutiny:

On the Home Depot thread – I didn’t complain about Home Depot, only put a boost for McClendon’s because I like them better. Also, their had already been some discussion about going to management, so why would I urge them to do so again?

On the Ken’s Yard Service – READ my OP – I spoke with Ken, the owner!!!!!!!! That’s why I know it was no use to suggest to contact him further!

On Luciano’s – the OP was only complaining that she didn’t like the food. Why should someone contact a manager if they don’t like the style that the food is prepared? That was a matter of personal taste and I shared my tastes with her. It wasn’t necessarily a matter of rectifying a wrong that had been perpetrated.

On the Pepsi Truck: the poster before me suggested that the person should contact the company; no need for me to repeat the suggestion or the threads become redundant. My response to the OP was that they wouldn’t get anywhere by going directly to the driver’s house.

JT – you are one of those that have attacked me personally from the very first time I posted. My posts often times contain no different content than some of the other posters but you seem to like to single me out and I’m tired of it. My opinion about JR Nursery was identical to Charlabob’s, yet no attacks on her….. hmmmmmmm

You obviously need to get a life if you have time to dissect my posts – incorrectly I may add. And, everything of mine that you quoted was said politely and respectfully – so who really is being inappropriate here?

HP – once again – get off my back and even the moderator has indicated that your attacks on me are inappropriate.

My breast cancer post was in part relief and humor at a very distressful and tense space in our life. Obviously it wasn’t that offensive or it would have been deleted. JoB’s TMI was funny and appropriate. Too bad you can’t be the same when you respond and attack me.

As for the kid having his bicycle stolen, just because I don’t show that much empathy doesn’t make my comments personal attacks or inappropriate. I happen to think that their is an element of personal responsibility for a 13 or 14 y/o boy to leave his brand new bike unlocked in a very busy public place. These are the types of things that we, as teachers and parents, teach to our kids everyday and when mistakes/bad things happen, we give them a hug and then teach them that you have to rise above it, learn from your mistake, and not repeat it. That’s life and that’s what I posted – nothing more, nothing personal and nothing inappropriate. And certainly nothing bitter – just direct and to the point.

When someone responds to my posts, I give them a direct and honest answer. Never any malice to any of them (with the exception of my crankiness over townhome development) and I dare you to find where I have expressed malice towards anyone or failed to handle disagreements like “an adult” as you put it.

You don’t follow the rules as TR indicated and you have it out for me and from now on I will ignore each and every one of your posts – I’m done.

I know the clerk you are refering to. This person is not a racist. I do not believe that they made the statement you attribute to them. If you were censured, is was because you deserved it. This electronic lynching is too pathetic to behold

BTW HP – If you read the bike posts all the way through you will also see that I agreed to chip in money to get the kid a new bike. That’s real bitter huh? Just another one of your inappropriate smears of my character!

Johnny Ray – do you know the employee’s side of it? Would you share it so both sides are aired?

JonnyRay, you of course may believe in the Easter Bunny or the tooth fairy if you like. We have 3 witnesses. Unless you are the party referred to, you weren’t there. Furthermore, did I ever refer to anyone as a racist? I don’t think so. I merely related a few of the remarks that were directed at us. I felt they were argumentative, confrontational and inappropriate. The Mexican remark was a ploy to shift blame. The woman also accused me of calling the her a liar as we were leaving, her words. We had accused her of nothing. Our purpose was only to return the plants for a refund. Mission accomplished. She is one of the owners of the business, isn’t she?

In any altercation, there are always at least two ways to look at any situation… and as many differing eye witness accounts as there are witnesses.

There are as many ways to take any one given remark as there are people to hear it…

This is another hot air balloon looking for a place to explode..

could we just let it float away before it hurts someone.

RonM – Personally I think you handled the situation perfectly. Like you said, you accomplished what you set out to do upon your return to the nursery.

Then, you relayed your experience here (like everyone else has done when they have a bad experience) and got ganged up on and persecuted.

I am sorry for that. Sometimes this forum just isn’t the friendly place that people want it to be. Can everyone just lay off of RonM? He won’t shop at this particular establishment any longer, but if you love the place, shop there! Why is this such an argument?

is this another thread that need to be closed?

or are we going to act like adults here and monitor ourselves?
